The Revd Edward Thomas Daniell (1804–42) was a friend and patron of Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775–1851). He was also a more than competent artist in his own right. It has not been possible to link his drawings by Girtin with any of the sketches from the Eidometropolis, the artist's London panorama.
